Everything you need to know about how Bread works and keeps your money safe.
Bread watches your flight and hotel prices after you book. When a price drops, we get you the lower rate and tell you exactly what you saved. We also track your airline travel credits so none expire unused.
Connect your Gmail once — Bread finds your booking confirmations and watches prices from there. If a flight fare drops, we reprice it with the airline. If a hotel rate drops, we rebook it for you or send you one-tap steps.
Yes — Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, IHG, Wyndham, and Choice, plus their 50+ brands. On Hilton and Hyatt we rebook the lower rate for you; on the others we email you one-tap steps. Works on free-cancellation bookings only — non-refundable rates can't be rebooked.
Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, and IHG promise to match a lower public rate found right after booking — often with bonus points on top. Bread watches for that lower rate and emails you a pre-filled guide to claim it. The claim itself is yours to file.
Southwest has no change fees. If your fare drops, we send you a one-tap link to rebook the same flight, and Southwest returns the difference as Travel Funds. We compare against their lowest fare tier, so we only alert on a true like-for-like drop.
Yes. When an airline issues you a credit or voucher, Bread reads it from the email and puts it on your dashboard with its value and expiry date — then reminds you before it expires. When the airline doesn't spell out the details, we show an estimate and say so. We don't redeem credits for you, and you can mark one used or remove it anytime.
Bread is free while we're in beta. When paid plans arrive, existing users will get plenty of notice.
Yes. Bread's Gmail access is read-only — we can't send, edit, or delete anything. And we only look at booking emails from airline and hotel senders, nothing else.
Nothing to do — we see the new confirmation or cancellation email and update your dashboard automatically. Cancelled bookings stop being watched.
No. Same flight and seats; same room and dates — you just pay less. A hotel rebook may come with a new confirmation number for the identical stay.
